Competent and efficient staff, it was very nice stay.
We stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel was charming old and beautifully restored, had incredible location in centre of Lamu. Really enjoyed our rooms with open windows due to the heat. Location: the venue was next to Lamu and Kenya and the sights, sounds, experiences and delicious food and Subira House for work. Plus, it was set only a short distance to Old Town Art & Crafts. The service was friendly as we had expected. Was a comfortable place for trip...

We had a blast exploring the winding alleyways and checking out the dope event they threw to celebrate the awesomeness of Lamu. Plus, we had the most epic swim in the big waves at the beach nearby. And if that wasn't enough, we also got to go diving, hiking, and canoeing in the area. Talk about an adrenaline rush!
The only thing we wished for was a better nightlife scene for young party animals like us. Lamu is chill and laid back, which is great for relaxation, but we were hoping for some lit parties to dance the night away.

The guesthouse had a beautiful old world charm, with antique furniture and interesting décor. The breakfast served was always pleasant and fresh, with a variety of drinks on offer. The courtyard was a great place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the local area.
The noise from the surrounding area was constantly disruptive, and often kept me up at night.

The hotel is conveniently located just off the main square and near the main pier, making it easy to explore the town and access transportation. The communal areas are beautifully decorated and give a resort-like feel. The top floor rooms offer a spacious private terrace with a sea view, perfect for enjoying the cooling breeze. The breakfast is excellent, with homemade bread and yogurt, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The toilet is an eco-friendly one, which may take some getting used to for those accustomed to conventional flushing systems.

The breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruits and homemade bread. the staff was very friendly and helpful, offering great advice on local restaurants and attractions. the location was perfect, right in the heart of town and close to boat taxis. the rooms were stylishly renovated and had a genuine feel.
The room got quite hot at night and the fans didn't work. the lighting in the room was quite low and made it difficult to navigate, especially for visually impaired or older guests.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was great, it was just a short walk to the jetty where I could hire a boat to go to the nearby beaches. The hotel was also conveniently located behind an ancient fort, giving it a unique and historic atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel welcomed and at home. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. I also enjoyed spending time in the many courtyards and relaxing on the breezy terrace, taking in the beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area.
I would recommend this hotel to all.
